And I disagree. It's completely pointless to limit someone like that. The only limit should be on abilities, not on reviving itself.

There most certainly is a point to it. If you kill somebody and they just pull out their little plan and come right back, there was no point in killing them, or at least, it probably wasn't worth the effort. It makes destroying another group a pain in the neck, particularly Mercenaries and Bandits.

It should be hard to kill people. It shouldn't be that easy, because it's not like that in Mario. Mario is capable of killing multiple people, and can come back from the dead multiple times even. If Mario is supposed to be a rough idea of a Hero, albeit weaker, then I see no reason why people can't come back.

This game isn't entirely canon, therefore making your response invalid.

It is based off of canon, and if anything the Heroes are more powerful than Mario.

Yes, while it may be based off of canon ideas, the game itself isn't canon, so making a rule or allowing something simply because it's canon doesn't make sense. If it was, then I'd have the best hero in the game (Mario) because he could come back to life as many times as I wanted to, based on how many 1-up mushrooms I fed him.

But anyone can do that, not just Mario, so it's not really the same case. Not only that, but, Mario can't get 1-Up Mushrooms willy-nilly.

In the games, he can (Heck, a visit from Yoshi in SM64 means 99 lives). That's why your argument is invalid. You don't see Goombas walking around with 1-up mushrooms.

Actually, I have seen enemies that have 1-Up Mushrooms, in the PM series.

So far, out of the about 150 Pokeys I've fought in that game, 1 had a life shroom.

But they still had them. And those were random, unnamed enemies. A named, important character having a Life Shroom makes sense to me. Even multiples of them.

I was refering to how you said enemies in Paper Mario had them. I commented on the rarity of it.

And he said he didn't see enemies having them at all. And then I said that those are just plain enemies. How many of our troops do we know that revive themselves? Not many, if any. Which is my point. If a regular, ordinary troop can revive himself, then I see no reason why it can't be even greater in terms of the advantage that Heroes receive, as they are way more powerful than troops.

But abilities shouldn't come back, and it shouldn't be usable more than once. And, like I said, it doesn't need to be canon to be true for this game.

And what about this game gives the slightest hint that death is permanent? Nothing at all. Characters frequently deal with reviving the dead, and other various things.
As well, you have yet to give any good argument for why it should be like that. You said some people had problems with it. I had problems with an UWM. Does that mean we are getting rid of UWM's? No, we're not, and getting rid of resurrection for the sake of a couple of problems is being incredibly close-minded.
