Well, my ideals never get the chance to be put in practice. And that was more from a philosophical standpoint, because I had History on my mind. None of my ideas are ever used, so we can't say how they would work in practice.

Look, we tell the mods to differentiate between uber transports and uber war machines, and then we can add the mechanics class.
Any complaints?

Well, I'd kind of like to see the differences discussed, rather than just saying make them different with no ideas behind it. Otherwise, agree.

But... What will be the prize for reaching however many Civilians? 1/2 Hero strength for the pilot? 3/4 of project time?

I like it. Like a merc with no troops, but without tons of powers, as you put it, "redonkulus" weaponry and defenses.

I'll be the guinea pig for mechanic! I haven't started by Bandits group, so I could just use Fuzzipede as my pilot and have him use the Death Fuzz. And it doesn't affect my awesome quest either (I'm starting to write it).
By the way, I say we make it law that whoever becomes mechanic must have "death" or "doom" somewhere in their machine's name.
If you didn't figure it out by now, I vote yes and agree to be guinea pig.

I say yes. We sorta need something new at this point. I was going to suggest some game play tweaks but this looks like a better idea.
EDIT: Quick question: This is a sub-class of Mercs right?

Well, I'm not quite sure that was exactly what we came up with, but I can see where they could fulfill a similar niche. They could be hired to cause mass destruction instead of pulling off precision maneuvers like a merc.

Yeah, this is a different spin on Mercs with a single machine being the main focus, rather than the driver. Alright, this looks like it's getting pretty positive reactions, so all we really need to do is work out some little details. For the Civilian bonus, what should we do? Half-Hero Rank for pilot, a new machine, a project time reduction, or something else?

New machine. I think that's a pretty sweet idea.
And a pretty fun class. If I wasn't having so much fun with the TB, I'd probably switch.
