This is just for The Wars, so don't bother with it if you're only an SMKW player...
Basically, I'd like to give my COs in The Wars special day-to-day abilities, even if my officers will rarely fight themselves. If the idea is approved, I'll just edit them in here as I get new COs and post to bring up the topic. If it is approved, here are the two I'd like right now...
Grit: Troops have pinpoint accuracy in battles.
Colin: Gets 25 extra monnies a day.
Are either of them unfair?

Ummm, I'd say no, for the simple fact that our generals and captains don't actually do anything like that, making it overpowered. Maybe as an upgrade.

Well, this is sort of like what I was proposing. Instead of making our Officers equal our moves, they would do something like this.

Well, I'm mostly trying to do things like this because A) To stay canon, I really can't give my troops and such upgrades besides ammo capacity, range, and so on...which aren't really that helpful. I gotta stay generic to be true to Advance Wars. And B) I started pretty lately so it'd be nice to get a slight boost so I don't get wiped out by a lone Mercenary.
Also, this rule...
5c) Creative choices for generals are encouraged. However, any sign of giving “godly” powers to a general will be seen as an invitation to the War Mod allowing him to take away the god-general AND one other general of the War Mod’s choice. If your idea of a new general is questionable, please consult the War Mod before deciding. The exceptions to this rule are ‘Hero’ characters, outlined in rule 6.
...kind of implies that our officers can do special stuff. Really, my COs (Besides Grit) are hardly cut out for fighting, while a whole lot of other players' are, so I think they should benefit the plase in some other way.

Well, I recall that bulbmin did a short project at the beginning of the last version to get 25 extra coins a day. Colin's should be okay. As for Grit's, he's both the general and the troops also mostly use machine guns, which don't require a whole lot of accuracy anyway. It's probably only affect bazookas heavily. ...And if I went all the way, I'd make my factories each give me 1,000 credits a day!

Say what? He never did that. If he did that'd be godmodding, because you should never get more coins per day. Besides, if your army did this then EVERYone's army would/should/will do this. It doesn't matter if you start late, that's a bullcrap answer. And if a merc does wipe you out, I'd my it my duty to wipe HIM out.
Also: even if you do do this, people will still treat your generals as 5 troops. Also, I wouldn't call these abilities worth 4.5 troops, assuming people actually do take into consideration your generals can't fight.

Whassa matter? You gots a cold?
I'd say Generals are worth more than 5 troops already, considering Red killed twenty Koopas in the Frostbite battle.
And extra coins isn't god-modding. It might have previously been illegal, but it definitely isn't manipulating the entire game to your advantage in a god-like way.

3. I doubt you can guarantee it. Maybe they will. As long as the mod is aware, which he should be, they likely will be treated weaker.
