Lord Crump: Hey! How'd you get in here!?
...
Ah well, as long as you're here I suppose I better tell you some classified information.
*Note - Armour and Speed ratings for War Machines are out of 5. Remember that what is light armour for a machine is still very difficult for a normal troop to penetrate.
War Machines
X-Raider
-Light Tank
Armour Rating: **
Speed Rating: *****
Movement Type: Hovering
Carrying Capacity: 3
Weapons:
- 1 Back Mounted X-10 Turret
- 2 Side Mounted Laser Guns
Description: A war machine that looks vaguely like a sort of car without wheels. Open topped, but has a bullet. Can carry 3 X-Nauts - The driver, a passenger and the gunner. The side mounted laser guns are fixed in place and can only fire straight ahead. They're fairly powerful against both troops and war machines. The back mounted X-10 Turret can be rotated by the gunner to fire anywhere he pleases. However, for safety reasons the turret cannot point directly downwards, so if an enemy was directly next to the vehicle he might no be able to shoot it. The X-Raider is powered by a small fusion generator. It moves by harnessing X-Naut anti gravity technology to "fly" above the ground at extremely high speeds. However, it cannot truly fly - it needs something like solid earth or water underneath it.
Tech talk aside, the X-Raider is a nifty little war machines. Light armour means it can't really take much of a beating from enemy machines - however, it rarely needs to. It's incredible speed and maneuverability means it can dodge most enemy attacks with ease. The X-10 Turret it is armed with can mow down infantry with little trouble, and the side mounted laser guns can cause a fair amount of damage to enemy machines. Its speed makes it ideal for hit and run missions - it can get in, cause some damage and retreat before it takes too much damage. Such strikes can be deadly when used in tandem with an attack from the main force. X-Raiders' speed and firepower also makes them ideal for flanking enemy forces and picking off isolated enemy units.
X-Devastator
-Heavy Tank
Armour Rating: ****
Speed Rating: ***
Movement Type: Hovering
Carrying Capacity: 10
Weapons:
- 1 Earthshaker Cannon
- 2 Bullet Bill Hatches
- 4 Automated X-12 Turrets
- 10 Automated Laser Turrets
Description: The X-Devastator is the X-Raider's big brother. It sacrifices speed for far superior armour and some incredible firepower. It looks like a large sort of oval shape tank with curved sides and a flat top. It has enough room for 10 X-Nauts - the driver, 4 X-Nauts who maintain and keep watch on the various systems of the machine, and 5 passengers. Two Bullet Bill Hatches on the top of the machines release homing Bullet Bills that track down and detonate on targets. The Bullet Bills have aircraft as their highest priority target, but this setting can be overrode by the X-Nauts within the X-Devastator, who can set attack priorities manually. 4 Automated X-12 Turrets are positioned around the tank's edges. They rip apart infantry with the greatest of ease, and are powerful enough to cause significant damage to war machines too. The X-12 Turrets can also be controlled manually but the X-Nauts inside. 10 Automated Laser Turrets dotted around the tank pick off enemy infantry. The most powerful weapon the X-Devastator is armed with is the Earthsaker Cannon. It looks and functions like a giant howitzer. Positioned directly on top of the tank, it can be rotated 360 degrees and has a truly tremendous range. The Earthshaker Rounds it fires are extremely powerful. Enemy infantry caught in the blast radius will be completely annihilated, and enemy war machines and defences would sustain heavy damage. Not much can stand up to prolonged bombardment from an Earthshaker Cannon. The only problem with the Earthshaker Cannon it its slow rate of fire - it can fire only 2 rounds per minute at the very most. The X-Devastator is powered by 3 separate fusion generators and moves by hovering above the ground. It lacks to speed of the X-Raider though.
The X-Devastator is designed for breaking through heavily fortified enemy positioned. Unlike the X-Raider, which is designed for speed, the X-Devastator is designed to dish out the pain while being able to take a lot of damage itself. It tears through enemy troops and blasts enemy fortifications to smithereens, paving a way for the infantry and lighter war machines to advance.
