... Freaking Wifi problems with my Wii.
Every time - EVERY f*cking time - I've tried to get a connection in the past, no matter what my dad or I tried, we could not get it to work. My dad called in a friend who's great with computers, and he got it to run...
...for the merry old time of about two weeks. After another month of failed attempts, we called the guy back in and things were working right for a good long time...
...that is to say, one or two months. For the last month, I've been pulling my hair out over this. When I do a connection test, it says that I'm hooked up to the Internet; but when I go to Brawl to do Wifi, it says that there's something wrong with my connection settings and gives me error codes 52030 and 51330 (which are both essentially the SAME F*CKING PROBLEM). I check my connection again, and it says that there's no problem; go to Brawl... you guessed it.
I'm at the end of my rope with this thing; should I just try to go for a wired connection, or is that too slow to really play online with?
And, in case people ask, my router is in my dad's office on the first floor, we have a booster signal RIGHT UNDER the room with my Wii on the first floor, and the Wii is on the second floor. We get a signal no problem...
Does anyone have any suggestions? Or similar problems?

You could always get a Nintendo USB Wi-fi connector. It works for me, and I never bothered with trying a wireless connection without it.

Hmm... It might be worth a try. Truth be told, I only found out about those things today.

is there any amount of concrete or metal between your wii and the router? that could screw it up.

Heh, when I opened this thread, I expected the first two words to be "Water Dumple". I was expecting Merloo, but then I realized he hasn't really done anything to get people angry at him...
