Figured I'd make this here and now...
Well, this is the first game for me to ever get on launch day. Guess I'm weird or something. Anyhow, here are my first, and pretty much only, complaints:
-Too many racers at once. I swear, I can't go for one minute without getting pasted by something if I'm in the middle of everybody. It's also easy to get smacked around a whole lot and right off edges in dangerous courses because of this.
-Way too many items that hit everybody/everyone in front of you. I haven't been able to stay in first, by my count, for more than forty-five seconds without getting pasted by a POW Block, Lightning Bolt, or Blooper. Because there are more racers at a time--And consequently more racers in the back getting good items--This is an even bigger problem. Same deal with Blue Shells, there. Sometimes I wish it'd stop and I could just play without them...Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart: Double Dash!! seemed to have pretty balanced items.
-Getting hit once hurts you too much. If you get hit with a shell, you actually come to a complete stop for a second. The fast acceleration doesn't resolve this, really.
-Motorcycle wheelies aren't always reactive enough--Or, at least, when they are, the jerk of the Wii Remote usually turns you in a direction you don't want to go, which is a problem since during wheelies you can hardly turn.
-"Um...not...p...p-pigeons. ...They eat bread crumbs. They craps on people. They eat stuff." ~Strong Bad
Anyhow, I can't really think of any more right now. The racetracks I've played on so far--20 of them--Seem to be pretty awesome. It's nice that they redid the retro courses ever so slightly, with a few new shortcuts and such. I'm also liking stunts--Especially that barrel roll one you can do in a kart. DO A BARREL ROLL!
