well, hopefully I'll eventually figure out how to de-crap my computer so I can play the orange box again.
now, I've heard the stories of portal and the half-life series are intertwined, so now I wanna play the half-life games.
however, I've ALSO heard it's a game that can be considered "scary", but just how scary is it? because if it's too "scary", I won't be able to play it. >_>

People are tortured right in front of your face. Mutilated corpses are common. Bare skin and bone zombies try to... hffffffffff..... HUMP U
jk
It's not really scary unless you're 10.
EDIT: Wait, Half-Life 1 or 2? Get Half-Life 1, you get the two expansions free if you buy it, and it's a great game.

Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 Episode 1, and Half-Life 2 Episode 2. And Half-Life 2 Episode 2's end and the up-coming Half-Life 2 Episode 3 are the ones that actually involve Apature Science.

Episode 3 is going to take a loooooong time. >_>
I think it was May, that the director or somebody said they hadn't even finalized any of the plot details. >_>

Well, the reason they're making the games in Episodes was to make the games take less time to come out. This way, we get bits and pieces as they're released, rather than having to wait 5 years for the entire Half-Life 2 game to come out all at once.

You mean 3? Besides, Valve is missing the point of episodic gaming. A good develop time for an episodic game is 1 year. Episode 1 I think got it, and then Episode two doubled that.

They're not trying to follow a pattern; they're trying to push out whatever coherent piece of the game they have when they have it so people won't lose interest. Besides, a two year wait isn't that bad to wait for a sequel. Talk to everyone who was waiting 4+ years for the second Kingdom Hearts game. >_>

and then Episode two doubled that. but they had an excuse in the from of the other two godsends that also came with the orange box.

Portal and Team Fortress 2 were made 2 completely separate development companies under the ownership of Valve.

Either way, was Kingdom Hearts 2 an 'episode' or a full blown sequel?

And was Half-Life 2 an episode of Half-Life or was it a full-blown sequel?
