Goombario: Alright! Ladies and Gents, I'm here to introduce the various troop types! Let's get it started with...
These our are core fighters. Theseidiots valiant troops attack mainly using Headbonks. Sometimes they will resort to a good ol' Body Slam, though. There short and round and spin when punted. Fear their eyebrows! No one knows why they are there, and how they wiggle, but fear 'em!
Currently, these bringers of mass destruction are equiped with Baseball Bats and Gloves, as well as Hard Hats. The Bats are surprisingly strong weapons with a long reach, and send the foe flying far away. The Gloves help the Goombas catch small projectiles with ease, keeping their body from harm. Of course, they can only catch so much, but the Goombas have surprising reflexes. The Hard Hats cover alot of their body (seeing as they are pretty much walking heads), offering a great defense boost. It also aids their attack quite a bit.
GRAGH! These Goomba-variants mean business! And not the profitable kind, for enemies anyways! Their Spiky Helmets (which are actually part of the Goomba) give their Headbonks an extra jab, if you will. It also protects them from any Hammer/battering-weapon to the head. As well, it's pretty damn stylish! Besides their extra helmet, these guys are pretty similar to Goombas.
Our HSPG's compose our aerial battalion. They started off as regular Paragoombas (with only the ability to fly setting them apart from ordinary Goombas) but were quickly upgraded to Hyper Paragoombas. This gave them not only a boost in attack and defense, but also gave them a new Charged move. With a quick pause to charge their energy, the HSPG's can unleash the energy upon the nearest victim.
Then they were upgraded to Hyper Spiky Paragoombas. The added Spiky Hat gives their Headbonk move much more force, and it helps boost their defense as well. Their final upgrade (for the moment) was to Hyper Spiky Paragloombas. Notice the "l" is the only real change in name. However, it does come with some other benefits. It gives them a slight boost in their attack power. As well, it adds a new Dark move. Put simply, it is a Dark Shot attack; it is sort of a magic spell that, when fired at a foe, slowly weakens it's health and it's battle... vigor, while hurting it quite a bit as well.
Wow! These towering monstrosities are forces to be reckoned with! The uber troops here are, unsurprisingly, MEGA! That's right: it's pretty much just a giant, mutant Goomba. However, it isn't just a change in size. As you may have guessed, these beasts have some of the strongest melee attacks around! There Headbonk is unrivaled, and there Body Slam is devestatingly strong! They're large mouths can even swallow opponents whole. Combine their offensive prowess with their defensive bulk, and these guys are sure to cause a ruckus![/b]
