I've been giving the idea a bit of thought, and I think that it deserves a bit of exposure.
We have officers/unique individuals that are the main source of our force's military planning and strategy, correct? They're the ones who lay out the strategy before AND during a battle.
Thinking about this, a question that comes up is: If there's no one with strategic intelligence present during a battle, then why is it that someone can still send in new plans after an update? Sure, troops have some slight sense of strategy, but nothing that an Officer(or us) can come up with.
My point is, I think that we should make a new rule/adjustment, saying that if a force is sent to attack but has no commanding officers in the battle, then they can't change/create a strategy in the middle of one. Sure, you put an Officer on the line, but I think that the inability to adjust your plans would be WELL worth it. Does this make sense to anyone else?

Well, your Merc/Reps count as Officers, too. They're unique individuals.

I like it. It should also affect reactions to situations. An officer would be able to come up with some sort of reaction to an unexpected occurrence in the middle of an update- the troops would just be like WTF and keep the same strategy, which probably wouldn't go so hot.

Troops don't go to Command or Tactical school. >_>
They go to Boot Camp.

Well, this has been up for a good few days, and it looks like the idea has received nearly completely positive reactions.
So, should I just add this to the official Rules then, or does anyone have anything else they'd like to add? Maybe a way to change or fix it?
