I'm not. Any idea how many on-duty soldiers the USA has in the middle east? Nither do I, but something tells me, a lot.

A fantasy game based on WAR.

And as a fantasy game, which is more fantastic? A few soldiers battling against eachother on a battlefield, or tens of thousands of troops clashing on a battlefield?
Besides, WD, the Rules for this game gets changed so much. Why can't we just try to stick with the system that we all already agreed on? I mean, you were the one who did most of the work on how troops and factories work now (and yet you don't play this one. I~r~o~n~y!), let's try to enjoy this for a little while instead of just scrapping it.
Besides, this is always how it's been, the massive battles and unlimited-potential armies are what makes this game special; I know you're not trying to do it intentionally, but often when you try to incorporate these new ideas, it slowly starts looking more and more like the new games that came from it. Having a factory for Infantry may be fine for Advanced Battalion Wars, but I don't think will be here. Let the game keep some of its identity.

And as a fantasy game, which is more fantastic? A few soldiers battling against eachother on a battlefield, or tens of thousands of troops clashing on a battlefield? So, what I mean by "Defined" units is, we don't use really high numbers of troops and realistically-sized armies and such.Did you read my post at all or remember what it said? It's a game, as well; it doesn't need to be fantastic or realistic or anything. It just needs to be a good game. That's like saying a video game is bad based solely because it's graphics are poor. Oh, and it's easier to control your plans and such when you're dealing with fewer units, so it'll have much more strategy than the other games. Need I quote myself again? Now, I'm not saying that we should switch the other versions, but this is an idea for a different game we could try.Oh, and as to this... ...I have provided enough reasons as to why I'm not doing it. You've already made me repeat myself twice, don't do it again. ...That's because this IS a new game coming from it that I'm suggesting. Again... Now, I'm not saying that we should switch the other versions, but this is an idea for a different game we could try.Alright, most of your argument was based off of the fact that you thought I was trying to change SMKW to this, so I don't need to reply to it. But, now that I've established twice that this is a possibility for a different sub-game on the site, will you consider it, or a way that it could be assisted? Edit: Oh, and Advance Battalion Wars isn't doing all that great because the world map system is a little awkward.

The rules changing all the time is what made me not make a new army.
The people here seemed to find tiny little loop holes and errors that nobody has bothered with before since Galtherin first wrote those rules in 2002.

I don't like all the rules changing either, but I don't have much say in it anyways.

Eh, WD, I just don't see it happening. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I just don't see it being pulled off, here anyways.

Same. The system isn't a bad idea; I'm just sick and tired of the rules constantly changing between each new edition.

I don't think he wants to nuke the ruleset for that; what I'm getting is that he wants it as another game. I feel that we have enough "versions" or other games around here for now.

No, because that causes untold problems, deciding what is Nintendo-ish, and is unfair, because that leaves it as... not sure of the word, but it's bad. I'll think about it more when my head hurts less.
