First of all, Halo Wars was originaly a PC title. And lazye, that's just with Heroic editions, since most were scratched.

I think Rydon is butthurt he lost this argument. I also think he needs to learn that the relatively small part of the internet with a good taste in games agrees that Halo is sh!t. Hmmm, maybe you're the one nto doign research this time. Have you noticed how Halo 3 had about... 8 million copies sold on the first day? Because it was hyped so much by Microsoft. Halo 3 is a good game, but IMO MP3 Corruption is a better game.

Have you noticed how game quality isn't about... the number of copies sold on the first day? It just means that the game is really popular, which again doesn't imply anything about quality. For example, Hannah Montana. Tickets to her show sell instantanly, however, that doesn't mean she's a good singer; in fact, she's a mediocre singer (for a guy; anybody else notice she sounds particularily masculine?) who only got a break due to her dad's popularity (fancy that word popping up again.... >_____<) and the fact that enough random kids liked her guest appearance on a kid's show to boost her popularity to these levels. Anyways, I'm not denying Halo is a fun game, but its nothing special. The first was good, the second was ok, and the third is just.... the second with a couple bonuses and a couple new modes and maps. But hey, if you want to play your (as bulbmin put it) "GENERIC SHOOTAN NO. 34676533", go right ahead. Just don't make points about how we're all stupid for not liking it, on a Nintendo-based forum even. tl;dr: number of copies sold =/= good game quality. However, Number of copies sold = popularity.

Maybe stupid isn't the right word, but... you get what I meant, right?

You can't judge a game based on new things added compared to last game. With that, brawl would be like Melee 1.1.

If you couldn't judge a game based on new things added compared to the last one, Nintendo could just release Super Mario Bros on every system every few months and call it a new game.

You can't judge a game based on new things added compared to last game. With that, brawl would be like Melee 1.1. That is a blatant falsehood! Brawl has completely changed the Melee battle formula, maybe even far more then Melee did with the original. Snake is a perfect example of this. For example, Snake’s C-4 explosive is more then just a trap, it can be used as a more efficient recovery move by having Snake drop and detonating it immediately, propelling himself upward. It can dropped from the air to put off attackers from below while Snake recovers. Snake’s Nikata feels like a slower version of PK Thunder, but it has much more use. The Nikata missile can block projectile, Snake can jump forward while activating the Nikata to shield himself as he moves forward, and best of all, the Nikata can be dropped. I can’t count how many knockouts I got by releasing the Nikata just short of Fox’s Reflector and having the explosion take out Fox instead of the missile itself. Even Snake’s Grenade can be used for more then just throwing. By raising his shield while holding a grenade, any attack that hits Snake will detonate the grenade while leaving Snake unharmed, making the grenade act as an explosive counter.

I said if you did, which is what tin was saying.
I'm not saying you should. Nor do I.
So, Bulbmin, please elaborate WHY you hate Halo 3, would you?

But if the stuff added doesn't justify a new game, than I can judge it on it. Brawl added a lot to the series. Halo 3... what did it add, to the series? Other than the usual new maps and guns/items. A replay mode? Whatever "Forge" is? Iunno... maybe I shouldn't judge at all because I don't own it...
Well, my main point is that copies sold =/= quality.

But popularity usually means a good game, doesn't it?
I doubt some idiotic based-on-a-movie game could achieve that feat.

But popularity usually means a good game, doesn't it? Not necessarily. Whatever, I understand that you like the game, I don't mind it (I liked the first), and bulbmin hates anything Halo/Xbox.

But popularity usually means a good game, doesn't it? if that were true, brawl would've been so all-encompassingly awesome that its release would've signified the coming of the rapture and all loyal nintendo fans would've ascended into video game heaven. did it happen? i dun think so
