Spore was designed, oddly enough, to run on very low-spec systems. I just want to get a video card that'll make sure that there won't be frame rate problems in the city/galaxy stage. The creature creator demo runs at perfect speed on my computer, so everything else is obviously okay, I just don't want to play games on a cheap stock card.
By the way, do you know how graphics-intensive Galactive Civilizations II is? I've been looking into that one (Advance Wars has turned me on to strategy games), but don't know its system requirements.

Toy Story Interactive Story Book > Any other PC game
"Warmer... warmer... warmer... hhhhhhaaaaaaaaawwwwwttt."
It had Little Tyke's as checker pieces. C'mon, nothing can top that.

If I cared about my post count, I would've been spamming the sh*t outta random topics. You want me to say why Sins of a Solar Empire is great game?
Usually, you have one huge base and several resource gathering ones where your whole force can easily go instead of having to put some here, some there, which was inteneded. Instead, in Sins of a Solar Empire you have to place some forces here, some there, because the phase jump times between planets are too large to make use of like that.
Choke Points actually exist, unlike in other games where a good airforce can rip through anything. Planets are connected by phase jumps, so you HAVE to land in a small area once you get to the gravity well around the planet. So, if you amass your forces in one chokepoint-planet, it's much easier to defend. However, another force can still win.
Reinforcements also are more important then other RTS's. Usually, a dying force will still die if sent reinforcements. However, because battles are so drawn out and flanking (within the gravity well AND other planets) and other tactics will actually, y'know, help, reinforcements can help cut through an enemy's chokepoint easier.
Capital Ships add another layer of strategy. Their powers can kill other enemy campital ships easier, normal ships faster, and other things. These consist of killing buildings faster, and looting enemy resources when bombarding a planet. They also consist of several varieties: Combat, Bombardment, Fighters, and four more I don't remember.
The Capital Ships also aren't an end-all unit; they can take out maybe 10 normal enemy frigates. Their strategic abilities are usually much more important (except maybe the bombardment and combat ones.) The Fighters can be rebuilt in battle (albeit slower), making capital ship fighters a support class, but annoying in enemy hands. There are two types of fighters: Bombers and Fighters. Bombers are versus buildings and normal frigates; but, if you amass them the enemy can easily amass fighters, which are good versus other fighters and bombers.
Although there are only about 14 frigates per race (7 capital ships per race, and three races), this makes it more strategical. My enemy is massing frigates; I should build a few normal frigates as shields while my long range do all the real damage. Or, I could build a lot of Heavy Fighters to take them, with a few long range thrown in. Hmmm, the enemy has a lot of bombers, and I won't be able to afford another Capital Ship for how long? Well, I'll build some of these fighter-maker frigates. It should provide enough support.
Also, the research is extensive and pays off in the end. Well, this won't really help me now, but the final research tier (there are a few dead ends early, and three main branches per race. Two end in tier 7, and the last ends in tier 8) will really help me later. Well, I'll invest in it if I get enough crystal. But what I really need right now is a bigger planet population.

There will be a new Castlevainia game for the DS.
And the main character is a female.
It's true, I have proof.

Great--So say that. Also, the reason I figured you were +1ing is because you didn't even remember Galactic Civilizations' name, and would therefore most likely not know about it, and henceforth not have worthy reasons for it being worse than Sins of a Solar Empire. What that means is that while you can provide quite valid, acceptable reasons for why Sins of a Solar Empire is a good game, you can't necessarily provide the same caliber of reasons why it's better than Galactic Civilizations.
