...For switching from army to army. I mean, I'd really like to switch to my Toy Team idea--It doesn't seem that it's ever been used, I think...at least, no active player used it for long. However, having to lose all of my war machines, defenses, and assets is just too big of a price for a theme change. There's no point in even making you lose 2,500 troops to switch if you have to lose all that as well. So, I suggest that if you want to switch from army to army, you'll lose 5,000 troops, but defenses, war machines, and assets will change to others of the same day value. In exchange, you can only change once in this version. I mean, it sounds fair to me, personally, because not only does it limit folks from switching all the time like some used to, but it also makes switching not the closest thing to starting over.
Edit: Sorry for making another thread in this board about a change, I know there have been too many.

I couldn't agree more, WD. Though, some may think that you should lose some WMs, tech, etc., due to the inconvinience of switching. But it's not really up to me.

Well, really, it inconveniences you more than anyone else, unless it's right before/after a battle. So if you want to keep your stuff and change it to fit your new theme, it'll be up to you to spend the time on that. I think it's a fair deal.

Um, can I get some input from anyone else? I'd like an administrator to look at this so that they can provide a reason for why it's good/bad.

we created that rule for being a sort of punishment for not sticking through with whatever army you chose to the end.

But why? Games are meant to be fun. Why are we being punished for having fun, exactly?

I agree. We shouldn't suffer because we either made a bad choice in the beginning, or we just found something that fits us better.

I support lessening the penalty for switching. Defense, machine, and heroes should switch over. I don't think upgrades should switch.

For me, I think it should be...
Defense, Machines, Factories - Switch Heroes, Upgrades - Lose

I think that only UWMs and Heroes should switch over.
And if you really don't want to suffer a penalty, there's a sort of loophole that isn't really so much a loophole as it is playing the game.
Go to war, and then switch.

That... Doesn't make any sense, vidguy. You still lose all your machines and whatnot...

Like I said, it's not so much a loophole as it is playing the game.
IF YOU PLAYED THE DAMN GAME AND WENT TO BATTLE, YOU'D WANT TO STAY AS YOUR ARMY, SHUCKEM'UP!

Not always. Sometimes the spark and interest people feel while making their army vanishes, or perhaps it was never even there. It would seem futile to force people to continue on under those circumstances. Those same circumstances were the cause of the problems with my Star army, I never had the interest.

Well, I don't see the point in me trying to make a standpoint, as this sort of thing usually takes a few days, and I'm only here for today until next Saturday.
Trust me, and bulbmin can vouch for me when I say that seeing your Army in action usually renews that spark.

It would seem futile to force people to continue on under those circumstances. Those same circumstances were the cause of the problems with my Star army, I never had the interest. Very well-put. Basically, I think that coins, civilians, war machines, defenses, and assets should switch over, but not troop upgrades/equipment, heroes, and maybe any special items owned. I mean, if I switch to Toy Team, I'm going to lose 400+ days of troop equipment, the Koopa Bros, and a tenth of my army. I also can't switch again, so if I loathe Toy Team (I have no idea why, Mario vs. Donkey Kong 1 and 2 are great games, just saying) I won't be able to switch back. So, as Merloo said, if we lose the interest/spark of our armies, we can switch once. It's basically our one last chance to settle into a group we like and stick with it, short of starting completely over. You also take penalties in doing so...so why would this be a problem? Oh, and if this does get approved: Is Mario taken? He would make a great hero for my army, since all the Mini Marios look up to him.
